What I Loved To Do
Although I have said many times that I learned sewing techniques at school, one thing I enjoyed was making these cute animal pillows at home. They weren't made out of socks like the kits you see now. They were square sheets of printed-on designs, then you cut around the animal picture. I remember my favorite was a brown beagle dog that I had for years. It finally got lost in one of my moves.

Once the pieces were all cut up, you followed the instructions on where to sew and clip. Clipping with scissors was needed on some curves to make the fabric lie flat, so you wouldn't see crinkles in the material when done.

You left open a small section in order to fill the pouch with padding, then you hand stitched that small piece remaining. I loved those cute throw pillows. They matched the decor and were perfect accessories for an inexpensive price.
